Question: Also our list also contains cases that are being served by American Red Cross and Salvation Army Case Managers. Does the Transferring Cases policy in the policy manual also apply to clients on the list that are being case managed by agencies outside of the Consortium? I suspect clients/non-Consortium Case Managers are going to ask if they can receive case management from Red Cross or Salvation Army for assistance with repairs/rebuilds and case management from the Consortium for continued compliance in the DHAP program? Answer: The policy regarding requesting transfers related to both consortium as well as non-consortium partners. Its best to contact the current case manager to explain that the case management MCMC is providing is a component of the DHAP rental assistance the client is receiving. Hopefully everyone will agree that what is best for the client is to transfer the case. This definitely remains a challenge as we move forward and will be discussed in supervisory meetings. |
